1020 Dartmoor Weekender to include the Tamar Valley People and Places Road Run.
Friday 05 September – travel to Wotter – overnight at the Moorland Hotel
Saturday 06 September – local road run – overnight at the Moorland Hotel
Sunday 07 September – participation in the Tamar Valley MGOC People and Places Run – overnight at the Moorland Hotel
Monday 08 September – return drive to Bournemouth.

Adrian Mullins has negotiated a special price of £95 per night for a double room Bed and Breakfast (rooms normally about £105 plus £10 for breakfast). Singles £75. The hotel has confirmed if people want longer stays this rate will apply.
A non-refundable deposit is required of £50 by 31 December to book a room for the three nights (option of just Saturday and Sunday) – book direct to the hotel not 1020 – quoting “Mullins MG” party.
Tamar Valley MGOC People and Places Run – Open to all ages of MG and to non-MGs as well. Start and finish point yet to be announced, likely cost £30 per car. Route between 70 and 100 miles.

Hotel Details – Moorland Hotel (Samil) near the village of Wotter, it is a three star hotel with Trip advisor giving it 4.5 out of 5 (685 reviews). They are also offering the option of a three-course evening meal for £27 per person (again a negotiated price). They can do vegetarian and Gluten free alternatives if needed. They have plenty of parking place and they would even put in portable cctv for the cars if needed.

Autumn Road Run starting from the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum at Bashley – 10am registration. Morning tea/coffee available at the new Sammy Miller Pit-Stop Cafe from 9.30am with option of pre-booked breakfast baps.
Finishing at the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection at Old Sarum Airfield – discounted entry fee of £10 per person payable on the day.
Lunch option at Hangar 3 – meals must be pre-booked and £5 a head deposit paid.

Return Skittles Match against Dorset TR Register
Places can now be booked for the next 1020 coach trip which will be heading to the D-Day Museum at Portsmouth on Thursday 13 November 2025 with the option of a stop at Gunwharf Quays shopping centre.
Start at Hamworthy Sports Club at 9am.
The coach will first drop off anyone who only wants to visit Gunwharf Quays before proceeding to the D-Day Museum at Southsea where participants will have at least three hours to tour the attraction.
The inclusive coach trip and museum visit is priced at £30 or £17 for just a seat on the coach stopping at Gunwharf Quays. This money can be either paid direct into the club bank account (details on the event entry form) or at club nights in cash or on a credit card – club night payments should be made to treasurer Ursula Bonner before forms are handed to Alasdair Wellwood.
