Christmas lunch 2014 at the Walhampton Arms

Our Christmas lunch on Sunday14th December took place at our new venue, The Walhampton Arms Nr. Lymington and proved to be a great success. Around 85 diners sat down to a carvery meal. This was served from the buffet with amazing speed. Many members remarked on the quality of the food, the service and the general atmosphere in the pub. We hope to return there for our Christmas lunch in 2015.

There was a collection of clothing, foodstuffs and toiletries to benefit the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal, this proved to be very successful. The proceeds from the Christmas raffle this year are going to Macmillan Caring Locally in memory of Danni. The raffle raised £300, of which £102 was raised by the wonderful Christmas basket donated by Wendy and Dave Brooks. The basket was won by Gina Neate. I would like to thank both Gillian Hales and Sue Cheney for selling the raffle tickets, Pat Lodge and Janet Riley for looking after the raffle table and all of you who attended for your support.
