Winter Run – Sunday 26 February

The weather was so good on the day that we could have been forgiven for thinking that it was our spring run! A record number of cars, 46, were booked in for the winter run and around 40 assembled on Mudeford Quay and took part on the day.

On this occasion, Roger Leach, our hard working road run organiser, took us on a 60 mile drive to the East of our area. We passed through many coastal towns and villages with lovely views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight before turning inland, heading for Beaulieu and on to the Royal Oak at Hilltop for lunch.

All the tables in the pub had been reserved for us and we were made very welcome by the staff. After lunch we continued on our route, through the New Forest, which ended at the Sammy Miller MotorcycleMuseum where we enjoyed afternoon tea and cakes.
