On Sunday 12th February many of us joined other local club members at Carole and Mike’s premises, in Fifehead Magdalen, for their traditional Valentine’s cream tea. Some of us took the scenic route across the hills where snow was still in evidence. Carole and Mike had once again gone to a lot of trouble to decorate and make the workshops as comfortable as possible. The cream teas, strawberries and chocolates were as popular as ever and we were kept warm with ample supplies of hot drinks.
Mike was on hand to provide advice and many visitors also took the opportunity to purchase spares.
We looked around the workshops at the various projects and saw the progress that Mike has made on the Magnette that was stripped down to a bare shell 12 months ago.
We send our thanks to Carole and Mike for their warm hospitality and a very enjoyable afternoon.
