The 1020 Christmas Lunch on Sunday 07 December at the Bridge House Hotel, Longham was yet another successful event which helped to close the club year on a high as 65 members sat down to a festive roast dinner and calorie laden puddings.
Adrian Mullins set another brain teasing Christmas themed quiz to keep everyone entertained during the meal – and it was no great surprise when the club’s quiz masters table emerged victorious.
The highlight of the day was the draw for one of Wendy Brooks memorable Christmas Hampers. This year it was won by Sara Runciman with runner-up prizes going to Stefan Morawiec and Sue Hanstead. All proceeds from the raffle (which was almost £300) were added to the club’s annual collection for the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
