Members will know only too well that this year was a washout, the first time this has happened to us at Athelhampton House. Saturday afternoon saw a large group of helpers arrive and set up gazebos and event shelters, many of this group returning next day, in rain, to continue setting up and dressing the stalls. Understandably, with the atrocious weather a very poor turnout – we did have one MGOC member who drove down from Leeds (in his Ford Kuga) to join us for the day before turning round later in the day and driving back home.
My grateful thanks to all who attended, both members and guests for their enthusiasm and support.
