The Summer Run this year was a little different. For a change we started with lunch at the Hamworthy Club, followed by a 45 mile run and finishing with a cream tea, prepared for us by Penny and Roger Leach. Penny had spent all the day before baking delicious cakes for us to enjoy with our scones, jam and clotted cream. The run took members out to Swanage and then finished at Pamphill Parish Hall where our cream tea awaited. There was a 24 question quiz to be answered during the route, all questions could be answered without leaving the cars. This quiz was won by Jan and Len Wayman with maximum points. Roger and Penny produced another good run and an excellent cream tea. I thank them and also the ladies who helped on the day with serving our teas.
