The weather was very kind to us this day. Arriving on site at Lulworth Castle just before 8.30 am we found our way to our allotted space. Quickly erecting the gazebo, in the front centre of the stand, we positioned cars around it. As members arrived they were guided into place with the minimum of fuss. Later in the morning the front and rear rows of cars were complete and we started to fill in the centre area, with cars placed at an angle. Not only did it save space, it looked quite attractive. After counting, we found that we had 27 cars on the stand, a very good turnout for our club. Many members took the opportunity to visit the castle and the lovely church just a few yards away. As ever, the organisation of the day from the JEC was impeccable and they had arranged a full day of entertainment both in the arena and on the stage.
There are fringe benefits to being an Area Secretary!
