Winter Run – Sunday 24th February

A record breaking number of cars took part in this run into the northern limits of the New Forest. Just shy of 50 cars and their owners registered for the 62 mile round trip which started and finished at the Avon Country Park near St. Leonards.  The line-up covered almost 50 years of motoring history stretching from a 1960 MGA and 1959 Austin Healey Sprite through a host of MGB roadsters and GTs up to more recent MGFs and TFs.                            New members Tony and Sue Cheney joined us, on this their first run with the club, in their recently purchased 1969 roadster. Lunch was booked for 74 members at the Bear and Ragged Staff at Timsbury, near Romsey, which was a very welcome half way point for many.  The run was completed in dry although very cold conditions and was another success for Roger and Penny Leach, our road run organisers.
