Summer Run & Hog Roast Saturday 21st July 2012

This year’s summer run started from Avon Heath Country Park and followed a 30 mile route through the byways of Dorset and Hampshire before entering the New Forest.
The run ended at the Copythorne Scout and Guide site for a hog roast. We were extremely lucky to have picked a sunny and dry afternoon which helped to make the event a success.
61 members and guests gathered in front of the scout hut to enjoy the hog roast cooked for us by a neighbouring farmer and carved professionally by Dave Hill, a 1020 member, who is a retired chef.
