The Mad March Run 2007!

Starting from the Ringwood Museum, we had two MGAs and a J2 (!) lined up along with a plethora of Bs – most of them red – with the ex-Terry Waite MGB and the ex-Michael Caine MGB in the ranks ready for a good shakedown.

At every opportunity, the runners stopped for tea and buns and some even bought plants from the Wolvercroft Nurseries this time!

The special pound a ticket raffle saw THREE lucky 1020 diners enjoying a FREE lunch.

Great run, great company, great fun. Thanks to all who supported us – especially the 1009 fleet of Carol’s B, her friend’s yellow Midget, Robin and Karen Plumley’s new TF, Martin Charles’ ZS, at the start and our Ford splash photographer, and Linda Taylor and her Midget at the end.

Paul Fulton cares, that’s why he worries, but when 30 MGs were arrayed outside the Ringwood Museum, his cares flew away replaced with the worry he might not have enough route sheets for everyone attending. Many, cleverly, had downloaded the instructions from our web site!

We had the Roantree’s J2 outside flanked by the Edwards’ and Curtlers’ MGAs – good show 1020.

Most Bs were red but as the sunshine came out late morning all the seventies colours were revealed in their true glory. A great season opening run and thanks to Paul Fulton and all who supported it.

PS: Welcome to Deb Nicholas and her sister who joined us in their Fietsa – she wants to buy a MGF later this year; thank you to the 1020er who let her drive theirs in the car park!

PPS: Welcome to Gill and Paul Whitely from Blandford St Mary who joined us for the first time in JOP 155L.

PPPS: MGAs attending eclipsed this time by John and Val Roantree’s magnificent J2!!!
