Chairman of Epsom MGOC Eric Nicholls. He is a real MGOC Stalwart and Epsom MGOC marshall Brooklands MG events , national MGOC events, donates hugely to charity and is the very essence of a truly great MGOC. Under Eric Nicholls, 1016 could not be anything else! Great guy.

Shoreham Airport – 1013 West Sussex MGOC’s Art Deco styled monthly meeting venue. 1020’s Area Sec picked up 1006’s Area Sec and we enjoyed an evening with 1013 on a lovely sunny summer evening and the interior was a stunning as the view across the airfield over to the Downs.

Region 10 at Osbourne House. Organised by Ian Craig of 1009, Home Counties South enjoyed a great weekend and we were the first car club to be allowed to park on the lawns of a Royal Palace! Cecil Kimber’s daughters joined us too.

Home Counties South joined Wycombe MGOC’s "Octagonal Run" at the half-way stop for a great Region 10 Gathering – as yet not repeated in the Reading Area.

Runnymede MGOC at Basildon Park. Another very active Region 10 MGOC which can support Region 10 events in force.

Solent MGOC at Basildon Park. 1003 frequent France regularly and can field more than two dozen MGs on ‘ordinary’ Sunday Lunch Runs! A vibrant MGOC with a full calendar of events.

A TROLLEY BUS??? Yes, 1009 co-ordinated a 1020/1009 visit to The Black Country Museum in Dudley. We were met by Black Country MGOC and 1020er Jenny Bailey lost her 1020 baseball hat down the mine!!! We all rode the Trolley bus. Superb weekend.

1022 at Crickst St Thomas 2006. Dave Marklew brought NINE MGs to CST from 1022 and they contributed greatly to the success of the weekend. A great gang of MGers and vital to the continued succes of Region 10. We salute them!

Nigel ( 1020 Area Sec and Region 10 Reg Sec ) and 1006 Area Sec Andy Harris ( right ) with Margaret Bougourd at Arundel castle in April 2007. Margaret is a dear MG friend to us all and although she’s lost her beloved husband Martyn , a splendid chap , and sold her old TF and her BGT , she’s still an integral part of our MG family and always will be.

In 2008, it’s the 25th Regency Run and I want to encourage ALL Home Counties South MGOCs to have a noticeable presence there, stalls, banners etc.


Let’s show the MG world that Region 10 is a throbbing lively affair.
SO many MGs on the Regency Runs have no local club affiliation so let’s put that right!

Nigel Hedges, Home Countie South Regional Secretary, visits 1023 on Alan & Brenda Moore’s last night as Area Secretaries (April 2008). He was able to hand over a gift from MGOC HQ to add to the festivities and accolades!

New 1020 Area Secretary  Ian Deverall accepts ‘the 1023 horn’  as his new badge of office! Afterwards it was savouries and cake!  About 50 people attended including Nigel Knowles, 1012 Area Secretary.
